For Sunly, the development and production of renewable energy is just one part of a broader goal – to contribute to the sustainable development of the entire energy system. In addition to our core business, we strive to make clean energy affordable and accessible to every person in Estonia. Our goal is not just to produce energy, but to create opportunities for everyone to benefit from it.
Lower grid costs.
We are working to lower the total cost of electricity for local people and businesses. To do this, we have created a "virtual direct line" concept that allows us to use existing infrastructure and the electricity grid to reduce grid costs for those who consume clean energy produced locally.
Renewable energy for the benefit of locals.
We have signed 6 memorandums of collaboration in communities where we are building wind parks or large-scale solar parks. The memorandums give communities the certainty of consuming cheaper electricity when the projects are completed and other agreed activities important to the community.
Faster electrification.
We are accelerating the electrification of the heating sector, transport and industry. In cooperation with consumer associations, technology providers and electricity producers, we are preparing the Energy Economy Development Plan 2035. More electricity consumption reduces network costs and increases the competitiveness of the economy.
Stronger energy security.
We implement best practices for protecting renewable energy in crises. We bring the knowledge to national decision-makers to contribute to increasing energy security.
More storage.
We are building battery storage at our solar and wind parks, increasing the availability of clean energy. We support Paldiski Energy Storage as the best long-term storage solution for Estonia.
