Sunly secures solar parks of 152 MW at government auctions in Poland

Sunly has secured contracts for the sale of clean electricity, thus gaining the support for solar parks with a total capacity of 152 MW.

These projects will primarily be developed in southern Poland, stretching from east to west. Projects are scheduled to begin in early 2025, with completion expected within 33 months.

In addition, Sunly secured an 8 MW/32 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in the capacity market auction, marking another important milestone in enhancing the flexibility of the energy system.

This is another significant step in strengthening Sunly’s position in Poland. Our investments in renewable energy, including large-scale solar parks, wind, hybrid systems, and energy storage, contribute to regional energy security and grid stability,” says Marek Motyl, Country Manager for Sunly Poland and CEO of Sunly Polska.

Currently, Sunly operates 226 MW of solar parks in Poland, with over 6 GW of solar, wind, hybrid, and energy storage projects at various stages of development.
